Such were the times
Simple and easy
Nature created two of a kind
Man and woman
Not a divison
But a Symbiosis to
Create, Procreate
More of the same
But that was shortlived
As numbers increased
Man and woman
Became tribes and clans
Territories were marked
Divisions were made
And Discrimination followed
Superior – Inferior
Stronger – Weaker

Survival of the fittest became imperative
As discrmination prevailed

Many thousand years later
It continued to
Spread it tentacles
Captitalists-Proletraits
Socialists-Communists
Rich-Poor
Beautiful-Ugly
Class-Colur-creed
Race-religion
It wasn’t stopping

Discrimination was on a rampage
Spinning its web and now
There was more discrimination
Old-youth
Well educated-less educated
Elite class-middle class
Oh So many classes
Till finally it started consuming

Who would have thought
Discrimination could kill
A Black life gone there
A young star gone here

It is but the result of discrimination
As it breeds alongside
Arrogance & entitlement
Jealousy & aggression
Worthlessness & depression

Where as, all that mankind needed
was love and acceptance
When did we forget to live and love
And let discrimination
Seep and creep into our lives
Defying kindness and compassion
How will mankind survive this
I wonder despondent and in shame.
