There comes,
Once In a lifetime
Beyond political realms
And much beyond
Age old, ingrained
Trivial political
Party fights
With no hidden agenda
With no monetary goals
In the guise of a leader
Accepting challenges
Like no one before
Taking risks
And owning up
If things go wrong
As there is no rule book to follow
He follows his intelligence
Uses his experiences
And his instincts to the T
His actions speak louder than words
As he is a man of few words
Courageous, determined
On a mission he seems
Sometimes Impetuous but controlled
With an attitude of
‘I care a damn’
Relentlessly he works, not to prove
Just to work
True patriot,
but a greater humanitarian
he is admired less, hated more
He should be looked up to
But is looked down at
When he leads the world in fighting
A scary, ‘never heard’ of virus
Leaving aside all fears
Working for people
It should seal
His persona,
yet people turn a blind eye.
He has not joined the mindless bandwagon
In blaming ‘the’ one country for the virus
He is simply devoted to find a cure.
yet people turn a blind eye
But when the same country threaten his people
He gives a befitting reply
As he is fearless, unforgiving and ruthless
To those who rightly deserve
As he is a protector too
And people still turn a blind eye
He was predicted 500 years earlier, than he was born
in the famous chronicle of future
such will be his impact on the world,
on entire mankind
yet people turn a blind eye
He may just be wearing the wrong attire,
Of a political leader
but is devoted to makind
Can’t anyone see, like I see
It seems, all can see, but none will appreciate.
As they have got used to
Turning a blind eye
BUT
Now is the time to stand up ,
Now is the time to acknowledge ,
Now is the time to salute
As he is saving lives
What can be bigger than that
But alas it seems
People will wake up a 100 years later
When his name goes down in history
But today I will
Salute and be a proud Indian
Under his leadership.
How can someone say so much about him in a poem, that i completely relate to.Thanks
